Donald Trump has put forward a tougher position in ongoing talks with Iran, as both sides attempt to reach an agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program and wider regional stability.

The American side is insisting that Iran does not receive immediate relief from international sanctions and that frozen Iranian assets abroad remain restricted until full compliance with strict conditions is guaranteed.

A major point of disagreement concerns Iran’s nuclear program. The United States is demanding that Iran significantly reduce or transfer its highly enriched uranium under international supervision to prevent any potential military use.

The discussions also extend to regional security issues, including tensions in the Middle East, where instability continues in several areas and contributes to broader geopolitical pressure.

Iran, however, rejects several of these demands, especially those related to limits on its nuclear enrichment activities. Tehran is calling instead for gradual sanctions relief and the unfreezing of its financial assets.

Despite these major differences, diplomatic talks are still ongoing. Both sides remain engaged in negotiations, but their positions remain far apart on key issues.

Analysts believe that reaching a final agreement will be difficult in the short term unless significant compromises are made by both parties in upcoming discussions.
